| Beschreibung: | Summary: | |
The Tow Boat Ride renders a special Water
Boat Ride attraction in any amusement park. In general terms the attraction can
be compared to a train. The tow Boat Ride is an attraction for elderly and
young people as well. The Tow Boat Ride allows to move visitors in specific and desired area and on a special tour to show them different amusement attractions and rides. The advantage of the Tow Boat Ride is at least twofold. First, the visitors can get familiar with the location of various attractions by just being slide through or apart it, and on the otherhand to generate a certain level of pleasure of anticipation. So the visitors or passengers in the Tow Boat can get an overview of the park or the specific area in a relaxing, mellowing, and sitting attitude. The boat is floating either in a lake, sometimes closer, sometimes far from the beach, or is gliding on the surface of water in a river or the arm of a dike. The course of the Tow Boat Ride is defined by the layout of an underwater cable where the boats are attached to and moved. The cable is suspended by guide pulleys and track pulleys, positioned underwater and attached at the branch or arm of the river. Due to its underwater course the cable is not visible for passengers and visitors. The boats are almost ghostly driven. The lengths of the course is approx. 800m. The total number of boats is 20, and their speed on the course is 0.9m/sec, in comparison a fresh rate of marching. Each boat can carry 9 persons The station has places to keep two boats. One place is for loading, the other one for unloading. In the station the cable is lifted by vertical guide roles, and so the linkage of the boats to the cable is no longer closed. Each place is equipped with four wheels, acting onto the side walls of the boat. These wheels are driven on one side by a geared motor. So the boats in the station, still swimming, are kept, moved, and controlled for loading and unloading by means of these wheels. |
